Guest guest
Okay, I was given a laptop and it has Windows 7 Professional on it. I can watch videos on YouTube, but for some odd reason I get a screen shot on Vimeo, then a blackout. Can't get any of my videos, as well as any others on Vimeo to play.Anyone have any suggestions as to what I need to fix in Win 7 so I can get them to play? They play fine on my old desktop with Win XP Home.I have the latest software updates and video player software on Win 7 Pro, but I can't get a single Vimeo video to play UNLESS I go to "Couch Mode", then they play.Anyone have any ideas or suggestions to fix this annoying problem? harrison0550
Sounds like a browser issue to me. What browser are you using? Internet explorer, firefox,etc..?All my pc's are running windows 7 and firefox and have never had a problem with vimeo.
harrison0550
Seems like I read a thread where you mentioned something about blocking all cookies because of viruses or something of that nature. If so right click where the video should be and scroll down to settings and make sure your settings look like this...............
Guest guest
Browser is IE 9. It wasn't my settings! I had tried the new vimeo look, which works fine on my XP machine with IE 8, but Win 7 and IE 9 didn't like it at all!Told it to go back to the "old Vimeo" set up and everything works as it should!I need to find a way to send some feedback to Vimeo about this issue. May not happen with everyone, but know what the new Vimeo format did to my Win 7 and IE 9. Not good at all.Just glad I was able to locate and fix the problem. Just hope Vimeo doesn't force us to go to the new system, it did not work for me!
