Training in TN (2012)?

Recommended Posts

I missed the 2- or 3-day event in TN last summer (?). Trying to budget and schedule for it this year. Any idea?:

a. There will be something similar in 2012?

b. Location (city, state)?

c. Timeframe?

d. Cost?

Thanks!

I'm trying to go through all the forums at LOR and PC to determine the latest status of a Planet Christmas Expo in TN again this year, and that thing going on in Conroe TX -- The Academy?

Is there a short answer to the latest and greatest updates to LOR training, expo-style? Was really looking forward to the TN-version this year. Schedule allows for it this year, unlike in years past.

Also, what is this Academy in Conroe? Is it only for LOR? I can't find the details of this very easily.

I haven't talked to Chuck about the expo this year. However, considering I've been nothing posted about it, I don't think it's going to be happening this year.

For more on The Academy, look here: http://www.theultimateacademy.com/

Dates, times and schedule is posted there. (And it's more than just LOR.)

Don,

Thank you VERY MUCH for your quick and concise reply. Very helpful.

1. Big bummer on the Chuck / PC / TN Expo. :-(

2. Thanks for the link to The Academy. If it's more than LOR, and I'm only interested in the LOR portion, and I'm not a DIY-er (soldering, etc), do you think these 3 days are worth it for me?

I'm still stockpiling eqpt -- have over 10 controllers, over 100K bulbs each in LEDs and incandescents, and miles of ext cords -- I just need the LOR knowledge to put it all together. How to do the software (shortcuts, tips and tricks), how to build the mega-trees, what LOR hardware do I really need, etc. Is The Academy the place for me?

Rhino,

If the S3 experience is not sold out, I would strongly consider signing up for it. Yes, it is an extra cost, but people who have taken a class taught by Drew say it was worth the cost.

There are other LOR based classes going on that weekend as well. So if the S3 experience is sold out, it may still be worth your time to attend. There will be quite a few people there who have used LOR for quite a while, and I know many of them would be happy to answer questions you may have.
