bretk
I have started construction of an 8 foot 16 channel spiral tree using 16 strands of 50 rgb dumb nodes controlled by 2 of the 27 channel controllers and powered by 2 of the 350 watt power supplies. All the items above are from Ray Wu. I received the strings on Friday and this evening mated them to 1 meter long 4 conductor pigtails. I then attached the mating cables to the controller, and attached the power supply. Here is a video of the first 8 strings running thru the pre programmed test sequence built into the board.http://www.youtube.com/embed/XYD9TGSV9k4More to follow.....

beeiilll
It looks like a great start so far Bret.Too bad you found Ray's sight as well I see.Say good bye to any spare money you thought you had. Then the wife and kids will go and then the pets.Pretty soon you will just be another loney soul sitting at home, up late at night drinking more coffee. No one around but you and the sequencing music playing in the background.Oh wait - that's me!Okay never mind. But they do look great by the way. Can't wait to see the tree in action this year. It should really make the heads turn and the oh's and ah's resound through your neighbor.

bretk
Controller:http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm/378111925-Easy-DMX-LED-controller-dmx-decoder-driver-wholesalers.htmlPower supply:http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm/378111925-Easy-DMX-LED-controller-dmx-decoder-driver-wholesalers.htmlNodes:http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm/521663006-invoice-to-Mr-Bret-from-Ray-12-29-wholesalers.htmlNote this is for a string of 100 nodes, I cut them in half to give me 2 strings of 50, although 100 works fine with one of these per strand:http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm/307297826-DMX-512-Module-decoder-wholesalers.htmlMake sure you get the 12 v version, note this is for ten modules, although ray sells them individually too. Max-Paul
Great stuff bretk. But please stand still while recording video. I was starting to get dizzy from all of the front and back left and right. Never did you camera stand still and to much motion can mess with ones head. But again good technical info and very exciting stuff you are sharing. Thanks for the share.
