Outdoor Wire Possibility

Found this, bought a spool to try. It's rated for direct burial and in the specs even lists outdoor low voltage wiring as a use. May be a nice alternative to Cat 5 etc and is outdoor rated.

Not an alternative to Cat 5. Cat 5 cable has different specs than speaker cable.

I would also warn against trying to use speaker/ low voltage cable for high power(120v) applications. The insulation of the individual wires is not rated to handle the increased power.

Yes, thats what I want to use it for, just for powering the RGB low voltage. Cat 5 will be used for the DMX signal where I use that in my Holiday display, this is just for some static RGB lights that are going on the ledge of a retaining wall.
