Meet Landon.

His father, Marine LCPL Carpenter, gave his life defending our country in Afghanistan earlier this year, a month before his son was born.
Baby Landon's Mom wants his story to be known. Take a moment to share this photo with your friends and reflect on the price of freedom.

Not being political or anything like that, I just got this email and wanted to share.

I remember a few years back when that picture was on the front of papers, every search engine and so on. Both my parents are Marines, well ex marines but there is no such thing as a retired marine. They are both now in LEO. Every police or military funeral pretty much tears me apart. Seeing other monsters of men break down, and the worst part is that they gave it all for a country full of people who dont care.

I for one appreciate any service where you are the leading figure of society. Its a shame for any sports player to make more than a cop or a teacher and they should be ashamed of how they are role models in comparison.

Never forget why we get to do why we do. Never forget the people who gave up everything and the familys that lost those people to give us these things.

I think that the men and woman who are in the armed forces are the bravest people ever!!!!!!!!!! I often forget about their families being brave as well.

My son-in-law is leaving for a year's deployment in Kuwait in a few months. My daughter will have to be very brave at home with three children and another on the way. She is so strong, but she is 800 miles away from us. We'll probably be on the road a lot while he is gone.

no such thing as an ex marine either.. once a marine ,,,, always a marine, same goes with all of the forces that protect us even the coast guard and national guard.
