JoeKinne
I need someplace to vent.....I have been away from the board for the last month due to shoulder surgery right before Christmas (Dec 21st) 6 weeks of recovery time. All was supposed to be better by the first of February and I would be able to get the rest of my lights down (45k lights up, about 10k down so far)......in comes a major weather event in the Seattle area...I slipped getting out of truck and hit my shoulder, breaking the internal wires holding everything together....now I have surgery again this coming Friday, 6 more weeks of not using it, and this time I will have to go through a full round of Physical Therapy.AND I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN ALL OF THE FRICKIN' LIGHTS DOWN!!!!!Oh well, maybe if I get off work a little early for the next couple of days before I go back under the knife I can at least get the last spiral tree down. Big Mur
Nasty. If I could get a couple of days I would come down the 5 and give you a hand right now, but I am up to my eyeballs. I will be in Seattle in Feb, however, so if you are still stuck - send me a PM and I will find a day to give you a hand.
GaryBo
Joe,I also had health issues this year and couldn't either put up my display, nor take it down.My solution was to ask for help from one of the local Boy Scout Troops, to assist in putting up the lights. The Scouts get credit for Community service and I made a donation to the troop. Scout Leaders (Fathers) and the Scouts did a great job.Take down, was also great. My next door neighbor Girl (my chief Elf), goes to a private school, and her class project was to bring her teacher, her class and some of the parents over for a take down. They were like a horde of locusts and had it all down in a half day. They would not accept donations, and all it cost was cupcakes and sodas.Just a couple of suggestions. Guest guest
Dang Joe. Sorry to hear about that. But here's one for you, my uncle broke his leg, now on the same day he got the cast off, he goes home and I don't recall what he was doing, but less than an hour after leaving the docs office, you guessed it, he broke the same leg again! Talk about rotten luck.

JoeKinne
Weather was dry this afternoon, I got the second spiral tree down right before it started to rain again. Tomorrow I will try and tackle the lights on the Mega Tree if the weather and my office cooperates (not holding my breath for either one).
