Is there a way to start the music at the part of the sequence that you are working on? I have tried searching every where for an answer and cannot come up with one.its getting really hard to listen to over half the song over and over again to try and get a little part done.

Click on "Play -> Play Range" and you will have a variety of options to choose from.

Also, the spacebar can be used to start/stop a sequence in the Sequence Editor.

Right, to use the space bar you have to put your cursor in the time line and click and drag to highlight a part of the time line. Then tapping the space bar will cause that part of the time line to play. But note this, going to different tracks will null the space bar function till you re-highlight a section of the time line again. I mainly use this and in the play range option I do the visible screen option.

I sequenced all of Michael Jackson's Thriller before I found the Play From option. I must have listened to that song a hundred times.

Right, to use the space bar you have to put your cursor in the time line and click and drag to highlight a part of the time line.

As another option, you can select the freeform play area live, during play, by hitting the down arrow to start the selection and the up arrow to stop it.

i agree on all accounts. i use the play range-visible screen option and it works like a charm. side effect is that i run everybody out of the room playing the middle section of jaws...over and over and over and over and over....
but hey!! i'm almost done with it. nearly 17 hours on a 3 minute song. but i think it will get better. LOL.
