Audio Not Matching Up

So I got a sequencing question.

I loaded a song into the Sequence editor. When I play the song using the "Play, Full Sequence" option, it plays fine and all of my timings are on que. When I go to "Play, Visible Screen" setting, the timings are about half a second off. Im thinking its a problem with the bit rate of the audio file but im not entirely sure. Has anybody else had this problem?

See this PDF from LOR. You will need to run your audio file through Audacity. This will create a Constant Bit Rate MP3 file, which should resolve the problem.

Don is right that more than likely your audio file is in some form of variable bit rate. And you need to use some program that will allow you to convert the file to a constant bit rate. In Audacity, you WILL need to set up the options so that the file will be saved as constant bit rate.

Thank you for the input. I converted the audio file to a CBR and it works fine now.

I had similar problems with Audio sync.
Im not swearing the issue is v3 related, but I did not have the problem last year.

My issue also seems to have poped up with no real rhyme or reason.

When I loaded my files on my show PC right after thanksgiving, all was well. Somewhere around the last week of December, the LOR network seems to have begun to lag behind. all my audio is CBR.

Strange, my DMX network seems to be in-sync. My pc is a p4 with 2Gb of ram. My show files are NOT that complex.
I only have 4 controllers, fairly basic programing, and around 190 dmx channels although the DMX had verry little programing this year.

It seems quite strange, but I probably wont worry about it till September. I'll probably upgrade the show pc to something dual core.
