Glowing Wreath

I hope this is in the right section. I have searched all over the internet for a way to make a wreath that appears to be glowing. Perhaps someone could help point me in the right direction. I am talking about a wreath that is made apparently of the stiff ribbon and the whole thing seems to glow when it is lit up. Unlike most wreaths you do not see the individual bulbs on the inside of the wreath. I hope that is not too confusing of an explanation. I am wanting to make three of these this year for our display. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out with this.

I have no idea what you might be talkng about unless it is one of the newer spun and heat shrunk monofilament items that I saw for the first time this year. I bought a LED snowman from Home Depot for my Mom that looked like it was made out of 60 pound test fishing line that had been heat shrunk, You could say that it appeared to glow. You couldnt see the LEDS individually through it. Nice effect.

Another place you might want to post is in the DIY section over on Planet Christmas forums.

I posted it on there at the same time as here. I saw it at a local display in my area. I found his display from planet Christmas. I have asked him in email about his wreaths but he will not reply. I hope he finds my post and answers my mystery. Thanks for trying anyways.

You sure this wasn't all done fiber optic strands?

That seems to be the only way I could think of for a wreath to have a full glowing effect and not see the bulb(s) that illuminates it.

I am not 100 percent sure about it not being fiber optics, but I think it was more of a ribbon. I will look into that option. Thanks jmjordan, I am going to check out the how to
