Rudy Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 How do I delete a sequence that I no longer use out of the sequence window? I deleted it from the location folder but I need to remove it from the sequence window.
jimswinder Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 if you are talking about where it shows up as a "Recent Sequences"...I believe it will only disappear after you have loaded enough other sequences to push it down the list...but as always..I could be wrong...
TJ Hvasta Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Jim, you got it.. once enough other seq's have been run, the deleted one will run off the bottom of the list.
pyromill Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 ONLY AND I MEAN ONLY if you even know what a windows registry is... or how to edit it.. a list of recent is at the key of HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareLight-O-RamaEditorRecentFilesI'm not going to say how to get there what to use or anything other than the location. Not to be a prick but if you don't know what you're doing in the registry you WILL most likely nuke your windows install.
Guest guest Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 pyromill is correct. I delete stuff from my registry file all the time that I know isn't installed any longer on my system, and the registry, for some reason keeps it.But you really do have to know EXACTLY what you're doing in there, because there are some areas that may look like what you think you're looking for, but has absolutely nothing to do with what you thought it did.And if you delete a key that shouldn't have been, you could royally screw up your computer to the point you'd have to start over from scratch to re-install everything.Which would mean you just lost all your sequences, any music files you had, especially if you custom edited them and anything else on your hard drive as there is no recovery from a registry edit blunder like that, not that I've found. And I have some excellent software for recovering files, but a registry "mis-"edit can really foul you up to the point of no return. So I wouldn't worry about the deleted sequence file because it still shows up, just do what I do, load and reload several sequences until it disappears. That's the safest way to make it go away. Then you won't see it any more after that.Yes, it's a pain, but it's the only way I know to do it SAFELY without going in and deleting items in the Windows registry file.
jstorms Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I can see the post now...So I edited my registry file and now my computer won't boot. What do I do to fix it?*circus music starts playing in the background*Editing your registry files is like doing brain surgery with a chain saw. Sometimes just best to let the headache go away on its own and drop off the bottom of the list....or...You can just reinstall Windows then reinstall the LOR software. That will work too
TJ Hvasta Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 No, you wont see that post because the computer wont start to be able to get online -to- post it..
