Wayne K
First I don't want to start a bashing war on here. But because I am looking to spend a several thousand dollars on led lights in the next couple of weeks, I want to try and make the best judement I can and get the best bang for my bucks I can.I see CDI has the M6 lights and I see HLE has the M6 lights also.As I look at both, they seam very similar. Both are about the same length, both are 4" spacing, both do not have sockets, both are full wave, CDI says 50% brighter HLE says 40% brighter, both are water proof,Both can have 42 strings plugged together,But the one thing that caught my eye was that CDI is rated 50,000 hours and the HLE is rated at 100,000 hours, Thats double the rated life of the CDI leds.So the other thing I looking at is the price, for example. CDI M6 100 cnt is 14.00 ea 168.00 case of 12. HLE prices are 12.60 ea and 291.00 for a case of 24.HLE says free shippin on orders over 1000.00CDI looks like a better warranty ( Creative DisplaysTM, Inc. Warrants to the original buyer that its’ commercial grade perimeter light strings will be free from defects in material and workmanship for five Christmas seasons )So if anyone can shed any info on these I would appriciate it.Also if you want to say something about either one of these and don't want to post it here, please send me a pm messageThanks for any infoWayne
-klb-
I think if you get an honest answer out of both, red, green, and blue are 100,000 hours. White is 50,000 hours due to the phosphor package. Those numbers are pretty much constant from every LED component manufacturer. Double check that you were doing a true color to color, and white to white comparison. If CDI is listing 50,000 they may have just decided to quote that on all strings, to avoid having to change the text depending on color. If HLE is citing 100,000 on white, it would appear that they are lying to you from the start.
paulanator
I have a ton of LEDs from both sources, and they are very equal in my opinion. Both give super customer service, and both products are top notch.I do like that HLE sells individual strings, in case you don't need a whole case for a particular project. You can't go wrong with either company, I like em both.
