As far as I am aware, you can INSERT a YouTube video, but you CAN NOT insert a video from the Vimeo site. The forum software has a little YouTube icon in the toolbar section that allows you to insert a YouTube video, or an icon for a WMP object(WMV? video) or even a QT object(MOV video?)

WMP = Windows Media Player / QT = QuickTime Player

Other than those 3 choices from the toolbar, I don't know if anyone else has been able to "embed" a video here from other video sites.

If they have, I hope they'll share that secret with the rest of us, as I have only been able to do it with YouTube and none of the others. And since I don't use YouTube, only Vimeo, it'd be nice if we could have that option if it isn't available or doesn't work.

hope to video my display this weekend.

But will it show up as an EMBEDED video that you can just click on and view from the forum page without having to be redirected to the Vimeo site where the video actually resides.

That's what they are wanting to do I think, embed the video so it's playable from the forum page, not have to exit the forum and go to the video.

I know this can be done with YouTube, but is there a way to actually emebed the video into the forum the same way you can with YouTube?

I haven't found a way to make it work, so if there is a way, we all would love to know how to do it to make it work!

can you PM me some directions on how to do that? That way, everyone will see it, and you'll only need to type it once...:D:D

Since I trust that Dan and Co. have fixed the PM issues, I will just post it here so others won't keep asking too.
  • Click "Embed" from the vimeo site. Choose the "Old Embed code", causing a long code to pop-up.
  • Copy the video link from within the embed code that pops up (for example, such as http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=33257280)
  • Within your post, click the "insert flash object button" and paste the above link you copied.

Quick Question, What software are you all using to add the audio to the video taken of your displays. This is my first year with LOR and wanted to share with my family in other states. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
