Ok, I had been using the Simple Show Builder but I've determined that is whats giving me these odd problems of starting randomly etc.

So, now that I have the Advanced version, I want to use the Show Editor, I've been through the help file but can't figure out one thing.

As of now I have 6 musical sequences. I have them start at 5:00PM. I'd like them to play through once, and then stop, and go to a sequence where say most of my lights are on. Then start again at 6PM etc. So basically shows on the hour, static in between.

How is this accomplished without using Simple Show Builder? It seems when I do it in Show Editor, it plays through all 6 musicals, then starts over again, I want it to stop, switch to a partial lights on, then start again on the next hour.

Doable? Thanks!

Put your 6 sequences in the start up tab. They will play once at the start of the show. Then put your static sequence in the animation tab. This sequence will play after the startup and repeat until the scheduled end. Once that is done, schedule your show to run every hour. This should do what you want.

Ahh ok, that makes sense, I think this is what I did wrong, I put the 6 sequences under the Musical tab, and then made a separate show with just the animation tab, I made a mess basically haha overthought it.

Does the show get off track if you Enable/Disable Schedule?

I had to reboot my computer, and then Enabled the schedule and it went wonky on me.

When you disable the schedule and then enable it again during show time, what happens is that the currently scheduled show starts immediately. It then plays like normal until the scheduled end time.

With what you're doing, that means that the hour in which you restart the schedule will be mostly music and less quiet time. But then the next hour should revert to normal.

It should not get off track. As aurickle said, it will start the currently scheduled show. So say you re-enabled the schedule at 6:15, it will start the show scheduled for 6:00. The 7:00 show should start at the scheduled time.

When you enable the schedule, the control panel will tell you what it is doing (i.e. waiting for next show, playing ***, etc). This might help to explain what is going on.

I found it. "Status" I will have to see what is up when it goes wonky.

I rebooted, it started the show which is what I expected, first it got hung up on the intro and played the THX halfway through and then started again, so I unloaded LOR and reloaded. That made it go through the full set fine.

Then it got to the end of the set and started over again, when it should have went to the lights on. It wasn't time for the next show to start.

I'm a little stumped by this. If the sequences are in the startup tab, they shouldn't repeat. Can you post a screenshot of your status screen when it does this?

or the other way to do this is create a 6pm show insert your musical sequences there, create an animation sequence with all lights on and loop it so it runs steady and insert that, after your last musical sequence save it as 6pm show then create the same show only using 7pm as a start regadless if the animation is running the new show will start at 7pm keep going IE: 8pm, 9pm etc then go into your show schedular and create the show times starting at 6 insert the 6pm show ending at 6.59 then the 7pm show ending at 7.59 etc etc.

3.0.2 It just did it again, in the middle of the last song, blip, the status says Cannot Read Show File, shutting down, then it starts back up, back to the intro.

It does not like that Full Show Setup.lss file. That seems to be causing the problem. Have you tried creating a brand new show file from scratch?

This also could be one of those strange errors with the earlier versions of S3. Maybe an update to 3.14 is warranted.

upgrade to 3.0.4, 3.0.2 suffered from some of the same problems that 3.1.2 did. Sounds like you are having some of the symptoms. 3.0.4 was released for those that didn't want to upgrade to 3.1.4 (needing to purchase an additional license, etc.).

Ok thanks guys. I just got in had to attend a party and leave the lights be. I had to set them to all on because it was acting up.

So I should go to 3.0.4 and not the 3.1 line?

depends on your OS and license. Might want to contact support on that. I think 3.1 line requires a minimum of XP.

Ok. I'll check it out. I have Win7 and I got the advanced license. Gonna try to upgrade now see what happens.

then 3.1.4 should work fine.
