I have 9 controllers. I use the minidirector to play the show. I ran a test show and the music plays, but the sequence wont run. I checked the first controllers and last in the series. They all have blinking lights. I haven't gotten to the middle controllers yet. Any idea what would cause this?

Can you turn on the controllers through the HWU and see if any lights come on?

lets start there and see where it takes us also in the sequence editor do you have controll lights checked?

I have had similiar problems.

Try the show with your computer instead, if it works on the computer, it may be something with either the SD card or the mini director:

try reloading everything back on the SD card; but first erase it, then reload it.

Also, make sure your SD card is 2g or under.

Good luck

OK, I took my laptop out and plugged it directly into the 1st controller with a network cable I know works. Nothing changed. Then, I disconnected that controller from the rest. Used the Hardware utility and then the controller connected. As soon as I connected the rest of them, the LED just kept blinking.

Sounds like you have a miss wired cable. The cat 5 cables used on the LOR network need to be straight thru type.

What if you took the laptop to controller 2 and connected directly to that unit and so on?

Something is dragging down your communications. You will need to isolate the problem one controller/cable at a time.

Depending on how you store your controllers. It could be possible that some critter got under the board and is shorting out the pins on the comm line.

As suggested, maybe try each controller by itself; if that all works, you have a cable problem: try swapping cables;move the last cable to the first position: trial and error

I played with it last night. I have a couple of new cable issues, but I also have one new controller that I tested prior to mounting it in the box that doesn't seem to work at all. I have another that the LED doesn't work, but looks like the controller works, and finally, I either have some programming issues or I marked cords wrong.
