plasmadrive
When I copy a section of my sequence and I paste it as either a background or foreground or anything, it overwrites my existing fades. I am trying to do a copy and paste to make a set of trees look like a rolling dimmer set up. When I copy a block of say 9 rows and then go to almost the end of the section, I paste it to add it and everything below for the next 8 rows is cut off at the paste starting point.Does that make sense? It did to me when I typed it.. ha ha
bob
The "Background Effects" and "Foreground Effects" stuff doesn't apply to pasting. There is a similar thing, which may help with what you want (I'm not sure): In the "Clipboards" section of the Tools Panel, towards the bottom, there's a "Paste from Foreground" option. That will paste only the parts of what you copied that aren't off - e.g. the fades. Any "off" portion of what you copied won't be pasted.
