Copy channel from one sequence to another

Is it me or does it seem that it is not possible to copy the sequence data from a channel in one sequence to a channel in a different sequence. I highlight the channel that I want to copy and then copy it. then I minimize that sequence and open another sequence and try to paste it in that one but nothing happens. Anyone know what I am doing wrong???

Thanks

Tim,

I usually highlight the whole channel to be copied for that sequence. Now if you're wanting to "add" a channel, then export the channel config that you have the existing channel and import it to the sequence that does not have the channel you want.

Hope that helps,

Tom

I'm looking to copy the channel data from one sequence to another sequence. I dont think exporting the channel config will work because I need the data not just the channel setup.

You say channel data. Is that the blocks highlighted and such in the sequence? If so, just highlight "select" the whole channel data for that sequence and copy it to your new sequence.

If your talking channel info as in Controller, unit and such, then export the channel config and import to the new sequence then copy the channel data to the new sequence.

Tim,

I do this religiously. If you select the whole channel and have it highlighted, do a control+C, then go to your new sequence and click on the first block of that channel and hit control+V. It should copy it right over. Hopefully that does it for you.

Wow Tim, that's wierd. yes, I'd like to know if it works.

Hummmm, can't think of what would keep you from copying channels like that.

Keep us posted.
