Even though I'm not quite finished, I had to take advantage of the warm weather and actually spend a night videoing without my fingers freezing. Yay! Here's a couple new ones for this year:

Hi, great display. I think it takes a lot of time to make the sequences and the whole installation. I like the (i call it "Equalizing strips"). Can you tell me what exactly they are?

Excellent Show. I love all the light components and the creative sequencing. I'm wondering how long does it takes you to set it all up.

Very Nice George!! Lots goin on there! Like the lights inside the big tree on the face of the house. How's that done? Oh.......and a spiral tree!, gota have one of those. Good job George, glad to see your health hiccup didn't stop you from doing a show this year. Look forward to seeing your other videos................................

Thanks guys for the kind words.

Sandman - if you're referring to the vertical poles, what they are, essentially, are straight, vertical archs. They're wound with nine channels and, in a phallic example of art mimicing life, have a piece of 1/2" rigid conduit inserted to keep them stiff.

Jerry - thanks for noticing. That's one of the things that rubbed off from the displays that inspire me.

Don - does this mean I should raise my sequencing rates for next year?

Mr. W - this year it took from the middle of October until 5:29 PM on Thanksgiving night. This is definitely an example of doing what I say and not what I do. Start plenty early - about a week sooner than you think you should to build in time for unexpected developments.

Mike - I'll post a picture as soon as I take one. It's ugly during the day - a a real fustercluck of wires and zip ties. That side of the house took almost a whole weekend to do. I'm still looking for the best angles for this year's videos.

Everyone else - thanks again for being so kind.

Great job George, Loved new different songs! Excellent interpertation of the music (not just flashy lights)

I echo that sentiment..its what truly creates the "I have to watch that one again" video versus the "oh, ok, more blinky lights to music.."

Just watched your videos for the umpteenth(?is that a word") time again. If I remember correctly, you mentioned that you were "musically challenged" and could not tap out a beat or anything. If that sequencing is from someone whose is "musically challenged", then I want to be Musically Brain dead, just a few steps below challenged!!!! Just frickin awesome George!!

How long of a list do you want? I'm starting to think it will be the end of the season before I get caught up with all the things I want to do. What's the point of having channels you're that not using I say...

Pete - All I remember from 9th grade music class is Every Good Boy Deserves Favor and FACE. But don't ask me how to use that knowledge to read music, because I haven't got a clue. The most useful thing I learned from that class was what the word "palindrome" meant. Our music teacher, Mr. Reber, was pleased as punch that we could write his mane forwards or backwards and still get it right.

I keep telling people the Beat Wizard is just sitting there waiting to become your best friend. And the greater music moron you are, the more you need it. Without the Beat Wizard I probably would have given this hobby up before ever figuring out how to immobilize a car full of people for half an hour at a time.
