Not all fades are created equal

I'm working on a slow quiet song with long fades and partial intensities. When I copy/paste a fade that is gradual and going to 30% intensity or there abouts, the 0% points don't always line up with each other. When the upper intensity is above 50%, this doesn't seem to be a problem. Anyone else seeing this?

The blue fades should be the same.
