nmonkman
I have been successful using LED's by incorporating a C9 bulb or two into the line.If I want to mix LED's (120 ct minis end-end) and 100 ct incandescent minis.....should IA. Go every other stringB. Keep them separate but on the same lineC. Do like 4 incandescent strings and then 5 or 6 LED strings at the end.D. DOesnt matter as long as they are on the same line. Richard Hamilton
E. Any of the above.I can't think fo any reason why you can't mix incandesent and LED on hte same channels in any fashion (from an electrical perspective). The only reason I never mix strings is because LED brightness is not linear as the voltage changes. Example... If you set a channel at brightness levels of 20%, then your incandescent lights will look dim, yet the LEDs will be relatively bright. When lights of the same design are on a channel by themself, then it is a lot easier to get the proper dimming level that you want. nmonkman
Great, THANKS!!another question. I am redoing my reindeer on my Santa Sleigh. I found a bunch of white LED's in the shed that I forgot that I bought last year.I am out of C9 vamp sockets, but I have C7 and bulbs. Would 2 C7's suffice for every C9 or should I go three?I got plenty of wiggle room with the amperage.
