New user question about scheduling

Sorry for the noob question here but I did a quick search and could not get an easy answer.

I have a scheduled show (5 songs) that is set to play from 5:30-10:00 in the schedule editor.

My questions is, What happens at 10:00 when the scheduled time is up? Does it just shut down immediately? Maybe finish the sequence it is currently playing?

I have a closing sequence set to start at 10:00:01 and wonder who that might be affected.

Any input is appreciated. Merry Christmas!

At 10:00, it will finish the currently playing song, and then run the shutdown sequences (if you have any set up within the show). You might want to include your "closing sequences" in the shutdown sequence for easier scheduling.

Thanks D.T.

So just to be clear ?....

1) The startup Sequence will only play at the start of the schedule (5:30)

2) The sequences in the Musical section will loop until the schedule end (10:00) at which point it will finish the current sequence

3) The shutdown sequence will play when the final sequence above in complete

Thanks Much!

You got it. That is the exact way it should work (baring any unforseen problems). Of course that is why we run a test performance to make sure it is all good, right?

Perfect!

This brings up another question. Is there a way to run the schedule without turning the lights on and maybe just watching the show on the visualizer?

Just a thought.

Thanks again!

Sure.

You can have everything hooked up, but not have any power to your controllers.

You could. unhook the cat 5 cable from the first controller, but still have the USB/485 converter still hooked up.

Both of the above will make sure there are not lights operating in your yard.

Enable your show schedule, open the LORVisualizer and push play. Now wait for the show to start.

I would imagine you really wouldn't set there the whole time and watch your complete show. You could come back to your computer from time to time and see what is happening. You can also left click on the LOR light bulb in the system tray and it will bring up a "Light-O-Rama Status" window. Here it will show you a list of what LOR is/has done.
