What are the round white lights on your roof?

Don't quote me on this, Mike will have to confirm, but I believe those are snowflakes(could be stars)that I think he made and put all over his roof. Ufortunately they just don't show up very well in the video to really discern which they are. But from what I could barely make out, they looked like snowflakes to me.

Ok. I liked the round and diffused look on the video.

Yea, from the long shots they can kind of reminded me of those round battery operated stick up lights used for closets that don't have a light fixture in them.

Hmmm, now there's an interesting thought, go find a bunch of those, convert them to 120V C7 bulbs in their assorted sizes (I've seen small, mid and large sized ones at the dollar stores) and then put them on the roof and use them with LOR!

Hmmm, might even be doable as a ground item by transferring some Holiday designs on them.

Now that does have some possible potential!

No need to convert voltage, just use a dc controller
Silicon to make water proof
Either use transfers or paint the inside of the globe

Nice job Mike! Great set up!

Have to ask, would you mind sharing how the green trees in front of the arches

are done? I am not a big fan of the tomato cage minis but they look pretty good.

Thanks, Ed

Thanks for the comments guys. To answer the questions.......400 ch this year, the lights on the roof are small snowflakes and stars, and the green trees( and others in the display) are something the wife came up with some years ago and works good. I use landscape edging as a base. Cut a piece long enough for the diameter you need. Then I nailed nails threw the top round edge to use as a hook. Bend into a circle and zip tie together. Its secured to the ground with tent stakes. You can use anything for a center pole, wooden stake, emt pipe, plastic pipe, or whatever. If I use a pipe, I use a short piece of dowel and carve a taper in it and hammer it into the top of the pipe. A nail gets hammered into this. Then just string the lights up, twisting once around the nail to hold them, and down to the other side. I have some small ones,2.5', and one is 7'. tall. The ones in question are 4' tall. What I really like about this design is storage. Its all knockdown. Plus you can change the color easily next year if you like.
