Don
It would appear something has changed.I do not know why such a change was made, but will attempt to find out what is going on.
Don
Well, that was quick. Yes, the change was intentional. It would seem that some people "reply" to the email notifications (probably on accident) which then goes back to the support address. Which adds some extra work/hassle for those working the support@ address.Would be a good idea to update any spam and/or message filters that you have in place. Guest guest
So, someone thinks they can reply to a thread by replying to the email?Or..they just take that as an opportunity to inquire about the status of their order...or mention a software issue they are having..Go figure.. Guest guest
Don, Some folks think that very thing, that they can reply to the message by just hitting reply from their e-mail client. Now I've hit reply accidentally from time to time when I meant to hit the "delete" option, but always cancelled the e-mail because I knew I wasn't responding to the forum messages. If I were LOR I would set up an e-mail account in this manner, it would all be automated so noone would even have to worry about any incoming e-mails from what the forums e-mail sends out.I'd have an noreply@lorfurms.com and then have an automated filter that would DELETE any replies immediately that would have that noreply@lorforums.com address in the respose. That way noone is monitoring the noreply e-mail box and it is self-sufficient. And the thread posts should also have a message attached like others that come from these noreply messages, the first line in the message should read: "Do Not Reply to this message, it won't be read or seen by anyone" and then the forum message be posted 2 lines under that.
