maverick34 Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I plan on purchasing a 16 channel controller for a Christmas display. My question is, how would I know if the lights in the store will be compatible with LOR's effects like fading, shimmering, and twinkling? There are some icicle lights that would look awesome lighting up under the gutters, but we don't know if they'd accept the commands of LOR correctly.EDIT: Also would I be able to use a projector with an MP3 Director?
JBullard Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Buying LED lights in a retail store may be hit or miss regarding if they can do anything other then on or off.I only buy my LED lights froma supplier that owns LOR controllers and certifies that they are compatible.I know of no way to incorporate a projector into a LOR sequenced show using the MP3 Director.
maverick34 Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 Thank you for answering, I didn't think it was possible to project without a computer either. Can anyone confirm a brand of lights that work?
JBullard Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I use full wave lights from Creative DIsplays. They do work.http://www.creativedisplays.com/
Pernicious Angel Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Has anyone used lights from Birddogdistributing.com? They seem to be the cheapest I've found so far ( 150' 2-wire 120-volt 1/2" Purple Light Rope for $84.99 )P.S. I'm new to all this and been doing some internet window shopping.
maverick34 Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 Can anyone confirm if the lights from the site above work? They have AMAZING prices. Also could anyone help on ways to mount lights onto the roof? stapling isn't an option, how would I mount them onto the gutters? THANKS
