The Pest
Welcome to the madness. LOR does make units for your power requirements. Just give them a call and they will help you out.

jer75
Hi Jay and Leah ,I'm from the UK , just outside Bath . there are a few people from the uk on here ,I've ordered my controllers from Light-O-Rama back in October , they should be shipped sometime this week I've been informed. If you want to contact them just remember to do it around 6-7 in the evening it'll only be 1-2 over there , or send an email to them for the attention of brittany as she deals with over seas orders. I've got 2 controllers coming to give me 32 channels of wonderful lights just cant wait now getting rather excited about this years light up :D. If you got any questions just ask the guys n gals on here are fantastic they'll point you in the right direction. Now get that email sent Cheers Jerry
jay_mander
thanks jer how much are they costing you if you dont mind me asking? and do you think i would get mine now before xmas?
jer75
Basically the cost was $473.95 + $108.91 sipping , that is 2 x CTB16PC and the generic starter package ,i.e software usb jobbie and converter , I did pay a little extra and get the basic plus license for the software. I ordered mine on 25 October and they've just caught up with back orders to near my order date so I wouldnt like to say if you'd get yours before christmas but they do seem to be shipping a lot more now, give em a ring or email you wont regret it . You can download the software as a demo and have a go at it you just wont be able to save anything till you get your license. Cheers JerryP.S the prices are in dollars
Max-Paul
Jay,the only difference between the US and the UK controller is that your plugs and outlets are different. We both use the same controller. See there is a transformer that has those little jumpers that they use in computers that configure the input windings for 110 or 220V. Otherwise the 50 or 60hz does not matter. Now I think your expectations are a wee bit high for this year. Lower your goal and set your sights on next year. You have a lot to learn and I dont think you will be able to do it all in a few short weeks. Plus sounds like it might be several more weeks before you get your stuff. Just slow down and relax for this year. You will then enjoy this part of the hobby. otherwise you will just get all crazy and P.O. with it. BTW my daughter spent a semester at Lancaster last fall. michael spencer
Hi Jay and Leah.I'm in the Uk. and my fifth controller is in custom clearance at this moment. The controlers operate 110v and 240 volts you just need to add or take out (can't remember which) a small connector to change from one to the other.I run mine as 110v using builders transformers to power as I use American 110v lights. If you do this you will need to purchase vampire plugs to make your connections to the light strings, there are plenty of suppliers. The only problem is the shipping cost when buying from America sometimes dearer than the goods, and then you have VAT to pay and sometimes import duty.Hope all goes well, and any problems just ask on here and you will soon get an answer. I'v not failed yet to get a problem fixed.
