It's awesome to see/hear of husbands, wives, and kids or even neighbors/friends helping with the display.

While my wife and kids want the display put up this year looks like I am on my own getting it done.:P

Same here Paul, I asked my wife to come out and help me decide on where to put an extra set of lights. Her response, "Just throw them on the roof, Can I go inside now?"

You stole my technique on getting the sets on the roof instead of having to carry each set up on the roof via the ladder

seriously I stand on our one deck and the roof is withing reaching distance and I throw the sets and the extension cords and clips etc... up on the roof it saves time

Setting up the lights coincides with my birthday, so when I'm asked what do I want for my birthday I always ask for help setting up the lights.

So yesterday my wife staked 1000 C6 LEDs around the yard. Each with it's own stake. She has blisters on her hands due to the ground being rock hard from the drought. She also got attacked by fireants.

I was doing our bushes where bees always hang out. Gotta be careful installing net lights on bushes you share with bees.

I used that same technique for years when I lived in a house whose roof I wasn't afraid to climb onto.

As to the thread topic, sign Sharon up also as a most-worthy elf when we start "handing" out rewards. She hasn't blistered yet (although there ARE other causes for blisters on the thumb or palm I hear) but without all her help there's no way I'd be ready by Thanksgiving this year. Now if only she was even remotely interested in sequencing...

I second the notion!

My wife held my pole while I was setting up guy lines!
So, how did that help? Oh, never mind, not that pole you are speaking of.
