Since you guys/gals are the only ones who understand the excitement I guess. I showed the wife and she said "oh yea thats cute so when is it all going to work" Oh well I should have stayed in the heman women haters club.Pics.......... harrison0550
All the spt1 wire is ran to where each one of the control boxes will be mounted and marked appropriately and we put a new breaker box in the laundry room tonight as well........As you can see the old one was full so it was time to upgrade.....Sequences are done, lights are hung, and my bank account is about dry! All that is left to do is.......1: Finish the spiral 15' mega tree (huge undertaking by the way)2: Run the power lines from the new breaker box to each controller3: Get the FM transmitter in the mail and figure out the best station4: Make the "Tune To" sign5: Finally light it all upStill got plenty of time:shock: I hope
Dave H1
Where did you get your enclosures from ?? The boards fit in there nice.
harrison0550
Thanks, I got all my enclosures from work (Comcast). They are the grey house boxes we use on new installs. I was amazed at how well they fit. The predrilled mounting pegs even lined up perfectly with the LOR boards and have the built in strain relief bar and rubber gromets at the base with the built in locks up top. They are actually pretty tuff boxes, I can tell you from experience if they are locked and you forget your terminator tool to open them you are sol cause they won't break or open without destroying them and it takes forever.I would say the metal ones would be hard to come buy for most people and cost the company a fair bit so I doubt you can get those but the grey boxes are a dime a dozen so if you see a cable van sitting somewhere just pull up and ask him/her if you could have a few. I didn't even know the tech I got mine from. I was in my own truck on a sat and pulled up next to him and ask him for them. I'm not even sure if he knows I work there. I'm in marketing so I don't see the techs much anymore.
