Something about the way those trees cycle thru white, green and red just does it for me. :D

-Wow, love it all, but IMO I would take out the presents in the yard...

I'm a huge fan of this guys lights...........

He is a super nice guy as well and most of my display was based off of his basic design. Of course I love the holdman display as well. I just like the clean solid color displays.

The Holdman Amazing Grace is mr favorite. I also really liked the display that got me into this hobby, I went back the next year and they had moved due to complaints. That is what truly got me motivated to do my own. So after about a year or two I got a gemmy box.

1st I saw and loved was Holdman's Amazing Grace, then I discovered Kumbaric and his Christmas Light Hero

and what really was for me a revelation for what I wanted to do was Cracker's video back in 2009 :

Because of that particular video I spent all the year to figure out how to transpose that for Christmas and drew, built and sequenced a Singing Snowman.

Mine is different,

I was minding my own business one day and my son who was 6 at the time back in 2006 found the Carson William's WiW on YouTube and looked at me and said.."Hey Dad, You can do this....can't you?"

well at this time in our lives he was going through his second round of Chemo for Leukemia and how could I say no :)

I have to thank WowLights for helping me through this back then, They got me up to speed really fast

And here we are 6 Years later I put up the lights and he untangles and the wife orchestrates and is the light checker and bulb replacer

As for my favorite display, I find interest in almost everybody's, I really don't have a favorite. I guess because as we all know the hard work involved in making the lights go on and off

But, If I had to choose, I would say Brian's SuperStar Tree made of CCR's really got me modivated, I think this is the future of House Lighting when the CCB's are out

The MJ Melody is good and the Music Box Dancer was also good On the Bostin Smokin' in the planetmonkman site. Another person there that lights the roof lights! hahaha YAY! Very nice... Queen of the Winter Night, who is that's... that is someone in this forum it escapes me tho who. But I like when the face whistles... I wonder if there is a way to quantify what makes a good display.

Drew

Drew

Queen of the winter night with the face(Is what got me hooked) would be George Simmons :)

Here is the very first video I saw that made me said...."I gotta have one". After some research, I found LOR and purchased my first controller. Funny thing, I bought it for Christmas display and have yet to make one.:( I'm more of a Halloween person I guess.

Ahhh yes, Gene...George's lesser known younger brother...whatever happened to him??? ;):D

One of my all time faves is that strumming snowman by our friend in France...Christian. And, of course, I cannot find the link to that incredible video...Arrrggghhhh...
