roach.dan@gmail.com
Ok so I've read people using C9 for mega tree and it comes down to personal preference. My question is what combination is everyone using for the rest of the display?I have a hook up on GE C9 and GE C5 teardrop as well as GE Icicles all LED and Im going to make the full switch the year to LED. I have always used icicles (just cause I've had them) for the trim on our house but I rarely see them in full LOR displays. I plan on purchasing 3-4000 lights in the next week so please any input would be greatly appreciated. My display is constant and next year will have 64-128 channels (have to buy the wifey a new car this year) I'm planning on going big and then bigger so I want to make sure I start with the correct lights an not have to repurchaseThanks in advance
The Pest
I would use c9's for Tree's, c5 & icicles for roof/gutter, and c5 for other area's, if you can get m6 those would be good for arches, and small props.
-klb-
On our large show, we are using C7 for tree top, building outline, a few wire frames, and the half mega tree. Tree trunks, mini trees, arches, etc are 5mm concave. Lawn fan is C6...But it is all personal preference. My opinion is that viewed at a distance, the 5mm concave is the closest to mini light appearance.

This renders them effectively only safe for on/off use.
roach.dan@gmail.com
I'm getting or maybe getting mine from a local wholesaler. How would I be able to check if they have the voltage doubler circuit?
Jim Saul
I picked up LED c9s from Walmart, they were not bright at all, the c6's look much better.
