Securing Stars to Roof

Well after all of the talk and research on building my own stars to add to this years display I found some awesome wire frame stars at Walmart the other night. They were about $29.00 each. They are 140 count minis and actually have a star within a star. The great thing I love about them is that they are a bit concave so will look good laying flat on a peaked roof which is what I am doing and they are super light in weight!

Now to mount them to my peaked roof. Like I said I am laying them flat and I have heard about people using those large black binder clips you can get at an office supply store to secure them to the shingles but I found these mini clips at Home Depot the other day. They are about 2" long and only $0.32 each so I bought a bunch (see pic Below). Has anyone used these before? They have some pretty good tension built into them so I am assuming they will work nicely (especially if I put 3 or 4 per star plus the fact that the stars are so light weight)

Any feedback?

Good luck finding them I just scanned the bar code with the app on my phone and it searched the web and found none of them online.

I'm holding on to them like gold.... now I just have to figure how to secure them to my roof - think the clips above will work ok?
