rjack
Ok, I've read several others with this problem and I think I've followed the easy steps. I purchased the download of LOR software. (so I don't have a CD)I have a new PC with WIndows 7. I've downloaded the drivers from VCP site. I now have a com3 usb with no yellow icon in it in my control panel.I did go through FTclean and reinstall the drivers to get the warning yellow to go away.I'm using a 16 controller I used last year on a different computer. (Windows XP)I can hook it to that computer and it all works fine.I unplug the usb cable and plug in in my WIndows 7 machineand the auto config button in the hardware utility can't find anything.Any ideas? otisriggs
I had the same problem today. I finally had to change my comm port to a lower number.

rjack
When I use comm 1 or comm2 or comm 4 I get :"The serial port (Comm2) assigned to LOR has a problem. You may need to select another port.Open of serial port 2 has failed.Error:(8002)Invalid Port NumberWhile:Executing Port Open Property"I have been running the LOR sequence editor and going into Network preferences and setting the comm port. When I use anything other than Comm3 it barks at me.But when I use Comm3 and it seems ok, the lights don't work and in the hardware utility when I click to do a search it can't seem to find the controller and it fails. rjack
It's com3, which makes sense cause that is what I figured works in setting up.But using it doesn't get to the lights.
rjack
Ok, done all that.I'm using com3 and that is correct.I downloaded a hardware utility from the D-Light website and it works. It uses com port 3.I can turn on the lights, off the lights.Everything is fine.So I guess the next issue is why won't the LOR utility can't see controller?I'd like to use the LOR system but can't get it to talk. rjack
I've discovered when I bring up the console I need to set the unit Id to 02Not sure why the D-Light hardware utility talks to it right away and the LOR doesn't find it in a discover.I'm running a LOR CTB16
