hdefjunkie
Hi,I have a small display currently running of the CTB16PC, was looking to go PCless and thought about a Director but could use a couple more strings. Can I pair the LOR800W and CTB16PC together and go PCless (without sound) in thisconfiguration?Thx.. Ken Benedict
Why not use a Mini-Director?Put your show on an SD card, insert it and away you go. Sound and lights in a small package.
hdefjunkie
Yah, thought about that. Kinda killing three birds with 1 stone. Add additional circuits, go PCless and workaround power for addon circuits. The additional circuits I'd like to add are on the other sideof the property, so I believe my options are1) String power across/under the driveway and use the single CTB16PC2) Get a LOR800W, string a single cat5, loose the PC in the process and the inside/outside connection. (PC is inside house, controllers outside)
JBullard
The LOR 800 series have limited program storage, some more then others. Not sure about how many commands the 800W will hold, do not have one. Also, while undocumented, the CTB16PC can be forced into taking a SMALL sequence for standalone mode. I have done this at Easter for just a simple annimation only display. But, I really feel that the Mini Director is the best economical way to go, to be free of the PC.
