TitanBry77
Hey all,I been playing with the software and downloaded some test sequences. I think for this year since I'm starting late and still no ETA on the controller, I figured out I could probably take some of the downloaded sequences and do some cutting/pasting etc and adapt them to my lights.I am really getting a feel for things now, but wife just posed a question and it got me thinking. What do you do when you're not running a show, because I definitely don't plan to run shows full time.Do you just have the software running and is there an "always on" feature, where I would select the lights I want to be on etc? Thanks! Richard Hamilton
Well, are you running the shows from your computer, or from one of the show controllers? If from the computer, then the easiest thing to do is set LOR CONTROL PANEL to automatically load in the Windows system tray when you login to windows. Assumming you have your schedule set up correctly, then the shows will automatically start and stop as needed when you ENABLE shows from the Lor control panel... assuming your computer stays on or course. Is this what you are asking? Larry Johnson
Hi,I schedule my shows to start and end certain times and certain days, and leave the software enabled.I run my shows on my PC, so I have to leave it on when the shows are running (cannot let it go to sleep / standby)Hope that helpsLarry
TitanBry77
Hey thanks, I will be running from a PC.I think I've confused you though, what I am wondering is what state will the lights be in when I'm not running a show. Will / Is there an option to just have all the lights on, or certain channels etc for just daily use without any sequences etc? Before my shows start in the evening and after they end at night, my show schedule contains that static light sequence and continues to run it until I have the schedule stop all sequences at 1:00 am. TJ Hvasta
If you are running.. may be Basic Plus or higher... (I think..) lets you go into Scheduling Editor, load your schedule, on the right side there's a box for either "Leave Lights On After Show" or "Turn Lights Off After Show" .. can't remember which, but check the box accordingly.. the lights will remain On until you unload the Control Panel (in Windows System Tray). Richard Hamilton
Good point TJ, yet the problem I got into that one several years ago was that my lights stayed on all night long. I never unload my panel. That's why I created a separate "lights on" sequence and put it into the scheduler to play after the show until the scheduler tells them to go off. The basic version of LOR will still allow that.
TitanBry77
Thanks guys. I like the idea of having a lights on show. Almost like a high tech timer and I could pick which displays I have always on etc.
Richard Hamilton
One other thing about having a "lights on show". To make it easy, I create a sequence that is 1 minute long and set it to continuously repeat. I call it "Seq - Lights Steady". I put that sequence in a show (all by itself) called "Show - Lights Steady". Obviusly call these anything you want. Then I let the show scheduler determine what time it should start and stop.Example, my scheduler has the following shows to run every night...Lights Steady show - 5:00 to 6:00 (before show)Nightly show - 6:00 to 10:30Lights Steady show - 10:30 to 1:00 am (after show)There are lots of ways to do this and many smart people on here with good tricks... This is just my way to do to so I can easily change the shows whenever if I want by simply changing the scheduler.
