couch-spud
I'd like to run S3 to edit my sequences on my desktop with my large monitors. I'd ALSO like to run S3 on a 'show computer' to do run the show.Does the S3 license preclude me from running the software on multiple computers -- even though it is intended ONLY for the single display at my home?I received a licensing error message when I tried to install on my show computer. Don
Each license has 5 seats. That's a fancy way of saying you may install the software on up to 5 computers. (Upgrading to a newer version doesn't count as an install.)You don't mention what error you get, but I'd bet you reached the 5 seat limit.Contact support (lightorama.com/support) and make note that you are unable to install due to a license error. Most of the time they will increase the number of seats on your license.
couch-spud
That is likely the problem.I built a new computer but it hase been having lockups and i've reinstalled the operating system MULTIPLE times to get it fixed.latest theory was that heat sink was causing problems... after 4 hours of sitting somewhat idle it starts hanging up in multiple processes (this is a quadcore with hyperthread). added thermal compound, it ran many more hours, but started acting flakey again despite the system being cool.all memory and processor diags pass with flying colors.no more Gigabyte boards for me.thanks for the confirmation that the licensing should work as I'd expect.
