Hi All,
Got a problem I hope someone can help me with.I have 2 LOR controllers. We wired them ourselves. This year will be our 1st time using them.
I started setting them up this week & unit 1 is doing what it should but unit 2 is not.I plugged the unit in but the light is not on.When I did plug in 1 string of lights it did blink while I was plugging.
So here are a couple pics of what unit 2 looks like inside~~

Looking in the unit I see that both green wires from the power source are on 1 side. Could that be my problem?

I'm so new to this so if you explain anything to me Please be gentle & use plain english versus techie language.
Thanks!!!

It's slightly difficult to tell who is plugged in where, but make sure that your two power neutral wires (white) coming off the power cords are plugged in each side of the bank of neutrals. In other words, make sure one neutral wire goes to the left side of all the neutral bank of blades and the other goes the rights side of all the neutral bank of blades.

I hope that made sense.

Thank You!!
Before I could go see if that was the problem a man from the area that does LOR stopped by to help.I explained to him what you said & sure enough that was the issue.
Appreciate your help!

YIPPPEEE got 32 channels of blinking lights!

Have you reviewed the manual step by step to verify your wiring?

If the unit is completely dead, you need to check the basics:

1. AC power at the outlet(s) you plug into.

2. line cords wired properly (or, if only one line cord, jumpers are installed properly).

3. fuses good? (and installed)?

When you say "built it yourself", did you build the board (a kit), or buy the completed/tested board and just attach cords/dongles? Assuming the latter.

Recommend taking your other controller out of the configuration, connect this one, and only this one, to your usb adapter.

Carefully compare your wiring job on the non-working controller to your working controller.

To answer your question, the green (ground) wires for your AC cords being on the same ground lug is not an issue.
