This will be my first year doing animated lights and im somewhat limited and have to be channel savy.. so connecting seemed to be the only solution.. Next weekend I will be doing a 8 channel mega tree.. Wish i would have known i was gonna be doing this, this year and i would have took more advantage of the after christmas sale on lights.. Im buy a little each week ;)

Must have been the weekend for arches. I finished wrapping all 12 of my sections yesterday (2-6channel arches)

Man 32 channels first year out....I started two years ago with a crappy lights and sounds 6 channel, last year went LOR with 16 channels, This year did a 16 channel Halloween, and next is my 48 Channel Christmas. I think I'd like to get to 80 but that will probably do it for me.

The arches look good!, and love the Frankie carving too!

Dont forget about considering sleeves for arches.. saves a LOT of time both wrapping them and fixing bad sections.. Wrap the light set over 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" pvc, then slide those over 1/2" pvc stuck in the ground.. using sleeves, several people can wrap at the same time (takes me abt 12minutes per sleeve), you can make different color sleeves and change colors. Biggest help is if a section goes bad, just slide it off and slide on a new one.

Great Job!
Last year I made 3 arches and used the 8 channels for all of them too. In fact they are up and will do the same thing this year too.
My one regret was not making the sleeves. When I took my arches down, I had a bad set of lights that needed to be changed. it was segment 3, and the power wire was running under the lights for 1 and 2 so I had to take all 3 sets of lights off to replace the one. With Sleeves it would have only taken minutes, plus it is a lot easier to wrap at 15" section of pipe then it is to wrap 15" of a 10' pipe.

I left my cords to dangle for now... When i get my wire in .. I will solder to extend them , then zip tie them around (on the back side) so i dont have any under my lights.. Maybe that will keep the fuss down if i have to replace any sections
