shakeonit
If you are running 80 channels, and you add a new channel at #1, it shifts everything down (giving me 81 channels), when I finish my sequencing, I delete the beat channel right, and then theorectically it will all shift back up remaining on the original 80 channel numbers? Don
Adding a channel (or 10 channels) at the top of your sequence won't alter the controller/channel number. No need to worry about deleting the channels when you are done, or anything like that.(Though, you can if you want.)
shakeonit
Ok great, it actually did 1 time I tried it, must have been a glitch. Now it works just like you said, thanks.
rwertz
My standard channel configuration has 3 channels that are unused (Device Type = No Device). I use them for the beat wizard and other timing marks I create. I just leave the data there in case I ever want to use it in the future.
jstorms
I add two deviceless channels for beat wizard. One a mirror of the other. 2 for foreground music, 2 for background music, 2 for vocal, and 2 for special or scratch. I break the song up along these lines, then it's much easier to put them to the fixtures in my display.I figure it will also make it easier to switch to a new setup if I ever move or want to radically alter my display.
