JHolmes
Now that the new software can send out native DMX code through the standard RJ 485 , are we still restricted to 128 intelligent channels? Or do we now have 512?
-klb-
As far as I know, only the the iDMX is limited. Everything I have seen indicates that all channels in a native DMX universe should be able to do intelligent effects.
marquisite
LOR S3 has a limit of 16 dmx universes, and each universe supports 512 channels (16x512=8192) (help file). Because this support is native to the software and uses no special hardware adapter like the iDMX, I'd hazard a guess and say that the only limit lower than 8192 channels would be if your computer cannot handle it. JHolmes
And just to confirm, the intelligent DMX channels can do everything LOR channels can?
