JBullard
I prefer full wave, sealed LEDs
Max-Paul
LEDs are not cheap. And buying at this time of the year is not a cost effective idea. Also buying IMHO at the big box stores is a pig in a poke. Just never really know what you are getting till it is to late. I and many others will tell you, your best bet is to wait till spring when CDI and a few others will have their pre-buy sale. This is where the vendor gets half of your money up front and then they will put in their order with their suppliers. I know that I am saving several bucks per string going this route. Also I know that the LED strings I purchase from Paul at CDI will work when dimming. I also know that I am not going to get any cheap half wave strings nor them stupid strings that you can remove the LED like the old ican strings. Run your icans one more season and then load up in the spring when the vendors have their pre-buy sale.

-klb-
Also, if you plan for more than a couple strings on a channel, plan to either have 3rd gen controllers, or add phantom load. (often called snubbers around here)
