Dave Boros
I just put the software on a laptop, usually use my pc. I loaded a sequence off my pc and loaded it onto the laptop. How do I save the channel config so I dont have to reassign channels? Thanks
Don
The Light-O-Rama sequence editor allows you to save a template, so that you do not have to re-enter your lighting configuration and animation drawing each time.Once you have created a sequence (with or without a drawing in the animation window) you can save this information to a template so that you can easily create a new sequence. Click "Edit -> Export Channel Configuration" When prompted, enter a filename for your template. Click "File -> New" and create a new musical (or animation) sequence. Look for the section called "Use a saved channel configuration template" and use the "..." button to chose the template you created in steps 1 and 2. Once you click okay, your new sequence is ready to go with your information already filled in for you.
-klb-
Edit -> Import/Export channel configs, export channel config..Then, you can use the .lcc file in the new sequence wizzard, or you can import it into an existing sequence. Each year, I make one master layout sequence file. All I do in it is update the track and channel layouts, and channel assignments. All my sequences for the year are based off it, so that when I fix errors in the channel assignments, I can just export the .lcc from that master file and import the layout into all sequences. Or if I update my additional track configurations for more useful layouts or groupings, I can again import to all my sequences easily.
