Anyone have issues dimming LED strips on CMB16D(QC)?

I got a bunch of RGB strips from Ray Wu and have been playing around with them on my CMB16D-QC controllers to see what colors combine to make the ones I'm after... I'm finding that I'm having the same issues I used to have with my 120V controllers before i added 'Snubbers' to them... The lights will dim to 1% then it just suddenly goes out at 0% (very noticeable jump).

I use the same strip of lights on a controller that I got from Ray in the same order and there are no 'jumping' issues at all in fading from color to color.

(yes, Ive updated to the latest firmware)

I hope thats all it will take... I tried looking up similar issues from others using this controller, but found little to go by. Seemed all the complaints stemed from the standard voltage controllers only.

Hmm, well I hope this gets fixed soon... Id like to be able to run halloween without the little flickers between all my fades.

I really dont want to have to solder resistors to all my DC boards now, i did that with my pc controllers last year, and space was tight enough doing those.

RGB strips from Ray, using a CTB16DC board.. no problems..

In fact my entire display is LED, No snubbers whats so ever.

Thanks for the reply Mnkyboy... I like the beth star... I was going to make one of those myself this year with RGB strips, but it got pushed to the bottom of my to do list.

I only deleloped problems with my LEDs on the far end of my property (100ft away from house)... but when I got started installing the resistors/snubbers... I saw no harm in applying them to all the controllers knowing full well that I'd be doubling my LEDs on all the trees this year.

Anyways... if you use your Hardware program to adjust the intensity to 1%, does your strip light up a lot? mine seems to be as bright as a first generation LED night light at 1% (much brighter than expected).

I'm hoping that as klb suggests, a custom dimming curve will fix my issue. I've been reading some of the 'whats new' in the S3 manual that was just posted... seems like a leap forward.

So I was all excited to go into the S3 Hardware program to set a dimming curve on my DC controller... and here is what it tells me: "controller does not support advanced configuration changes".

Now what? lol.

Developers: Should we expect this to be enabled in the next update of S3?
