ace_master
You will likely have listened to the song about 75 times by the time you're done sequencing it... but don't worry, once you catch on it's rather easy... just time consuming. The big trick is to go to the tool bar and click Play/Speed/ and select "1/2 speed". This will give you a lot more clarity on where the beat or note you are trying to hit is...You will also find shortcuts where you can copy and paste an entire section you've sequenced to a later point in the song where the music repeats itself, such as the chorus. thevikester
I'm afraid over and over and over, and over is the method of most. Do the Play range of Visible screen only, and concentrate on a piece at a time. Get your beats down first...using either the Beat wizard or Tapper wizard...and figure out what you want do be the Backbone of your song...for me...its the Houseline for the beat...then I pick out other items...trees, bushes, snowflakes, etc for other parts, perhaps you tie your trees to the vocals, and your bushes to the fast snappy parts...I tend to like to stay uniform with that, because it makes it "comfortable' each time I sequence a new song...The other method, is to go the the free sequence sites, and see if your song is on any of them, and then borrow someone elses sequence to get down the major areas of the song, and then tweak it to your specific display.Welcome to the madness! basis21b
My experience is by the time I am through with the sequence work I know just about every nuance of the song.Just TRY getting "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" out of your mind after sequencing it. It takes months.Of course by posting this I just awoke that memory for a number of people. Sorry.
