Yes, easiest way I've found is to create an mp3 version (if it's not already) of the track you wish to use. (Advanced->Create mp3 version)Then, drag this track wherever you store you LOR audio and point your sequence to that file.

You may find this useful:

LOR uses Windows Media Player to play media files.  I have never tried 5.1, and I don't really know much about it, but with one minor exception, mentioned below, any filtering or "folding down" that occurs will occur due to WMP, or possibly your sound card, not due to LOR.

The following file types are supported (though not all of them will work with the Beat Wizard, the VU Wizard, the MIDI Wizard, nonstandard playback speeds, or the waveform display, and video files will only display video with license levels higher than "Basic"):
  • AIF
    • *.aif
    • *.aifc
    • *.aiff

    [*]AVI

    • *.avi
  • MIDI
    • *.mid
    • *.midi
    • *.rmi

    [*]MPEG Audio

    • *.mp2
    • *.mp3
    • *.mpa
  • MPEG Video
    • *.mpe
    • *.mpeg
    • *.mpg
    • *.m1v

    [*]Sound

    • *.au
    • *.snd
  • WAV
    • *.wav

    [*]Windows Media Audio

    • *.wma
  • Windows Media Video
    • *.asf
    • *.wm
    • *.wmv

if you have downloaded the song from itunes they are protected and itunes does not allow you to convert to mp3 if it is protected it their another way i dont know about

that is not correct...I believe you can create an MP3 from ANY song you get from iTunes...

see post #4 above and follow the thread to see how it is done...

you just have to have the correct settings in your preferences...

not knowing exactly what you have and have not tried, don't see how I could help you...

do you know what folder you have told the converted MP4's are set to go (set up in your preferences) default is the same folder the MP4's are in?

When you go to the advanced tab, do you see a selection titled "Convert To MP3"?

try looking at this site for a "how to"...

It depends how old the song is ( when you bought it) I had many like that, that I had to repurchase and then change them to a MP3

yeah...just saw that in an article:

Convert DRM-Protected iTunes to MP3 For music purchased from iTunes prior to 2009, it may be DRM-protected and will throw an error when taking the steps listed earlier in this article. To convert tracks saved under this restriction, the music will need to be ripped to CD and then converted by iTunes.

but looks like still doable...

I just record the DRM file to another file using a music editor, then I save(export) the recorded song in any format I wish. I got around that P.I.T.A. issue a long time ago when they tried making it difficult to rip CD's to your computer. Where THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY! And if there's a way around somethings, I can usually find it and get 'r done! LOL

Actually there is a much much simpler way. When you have the file from the iTunes store that you want to use, just change your settings to rip CD's in iTunes from AAC to WAV. Then right click on the song and select create WAV version. WAV files have no DRM or protection otherwise and they seem to work better with sequencing in LOR anyway. If you are worried about the file size with WAV, simply open the WAV in Audacity or Cool Edit Pro (Adobe Audition (This is what I use for all audio editing)) and convert to mp3.
