ErnieHorning
It's easier to just buy whole strings in the colors that you want and pull the bulbs. It's cheaper too because you get 100 bulbs for just a bit over two bucks.
Ralph D
just went 30 min each way to walmart, stuck getting one box of 100 count bulbs. not replacement bulbs. what a downer. JBullard
Buy the color caps. Put them over clear bulbs, as mentioned in post #

Ralph D
Caps are a great idea, as long as the bulbs are working, which in my case I have tons of lights out so the caps wont work. and i don't want to get caught like this again so i want to have enough for a long time. Ralph D
Morning! after reading this post over and over, I felt I was not clear, I do like the idea of caps on the lights, I've never used them before so It cant hurt trying to test this year. But what I really would like to do is find a store or If i have to a couple of stores that sell's these different voltage bulbs in big quantities, and yes, like mentioned I totally understand it's cheaper to buy the whole string of lights and just replace that with mine, but I've had a hard time just finding the colors at the voltage I need them at. I have not wanted to even go down the rout of having to re-string my frames "but" in the near future. I know I will have two.
Jim Saul
David has a great tutorial on how to paint white lights to get the color that you want. if you are looking for hundreds of a color, I'd try this:http://www.holidaycoro.com/docs/Tinting%20Clear%20Lights%20to%20Orange%20and%20Purple.pdf
