shfr26
Has anyone else have this problem? After I read through a section and read all the new posts, it will still show that there are new ones to be read?? I even flipped through all the pages to make sure. Not a bit deal but I'm got CRS syndrome, and forgot if I read it or not. It is just me and my old dinosaur computer, or something that I am missing? It happens in several sections, mostly the "newbie" section.
Arnoldc
Yes, I've been having the same problem in multiple sections too. Even when I hit the button "forums read" and go to another sectionand then go back to the main page it shows that there is something I haven't read.. so go there and nothing.. gets annoying after a bit

LORi P
That happens to me too if I use the 'back' button to get back to the thread list.I avoid it by getting back to the thread list by clicking on the 'light o rama forums' or 'the midway zone' or 'the coffee shop' like you see on the top of this page right under the light o rama logo.Or if you think the list of threads shows new messages that you have marked as read, you can hit the F5 button on the keyboard to refresh the list.Good luck. MikeH
I've had the same problem for a while now. I thought it was just me. I did write to the forum admin about this problem. He said there's not much he could do about it, this forum software is old and has no built in tools to solve problems. I guess we'll all have to live with it.MikeH

Guest guest
Had the issue for awhile, then it cleared, now it is doing it again. I can literally clear all forums, log out, log back in and it will show the icon for unread messages, and nothing new.I just use the "recent" tabe more and more to get around the issue.I classify it as a minor annoyance..at worst. I find myself tending to read most of them anyway, so this is an easy way to catch when something new is posted.

And anyone who is 'addicted' to little blinky lights has 'issues'. I think that pertains to everyone here..... except me of course. I can quit any time I want to.
