marsh28
I bought a WH Transmitter 2 used and tested it out last night. The reception was pretty good but I was want it to be a bit better. Can anyone give me any hints about how to get the best reception? Also, will you get better reception out of a higher or lower FM frequency? Thanks... testraub
In the battery compartment there is a white sticker. Peel it off and there is a small switch under it flip the switch and it increases the power a bit.
Jim Saul
Connect the giant antenna wire to it and put the wire vertically. I had to put mine in a box and out on the front lawn. To do that, I used (2) 25 foot headphone extension cords to get the audio to it.Once I did that, the transmitter works Perfect for a Christmas display. You can hear it a few houses away but you can not hear it if you are too far away to see the lights.I think I am the only one here, but I like the little thing
Tom Clapper
Your not the only one, for the price I love mine. Not sure if mine is a WH "2" or not but in the instructions it says the length to extend the antenna. I used a piece of wire from 14/2 I had around and extended it with a crimp-on butt connector to the length it says. I put mine outside by my front porch in a zip-lock bag and put the antenna in the j-channel above my picture window and I could hear it crystal clear a block away from my house. The frequency doesn't make any difference as far as range except that if you find a channel with less interference it will pick up a bit farther. I need to figure out what frequency I'm gonna use this year so I will get it out in the next day or two and will try to find the info on what length it says to extend it too. Tom Clapper
Just looked online and mine is the WH gold edition not the WH2. I don't know if mine has the hidden switch or not but I will check that out and also post the antenna length.
