Ponddude
We have been talking about this light for a while here at Seasonal Entertainment, and now it is available! Our most popular flood light has grown up...and in a big way!! The Rainbow Flood – EXTREME takes what all our customers asked for and combines it into one single light. We teamed up once again with Craig Marshall and put our heads together to come up with the most powerful do-it-yourself RGB LED floodlight on the market today! 56 super bright LEDs, each with 3 chips in them. Constant Current Technology gets the most light out of each and every LED. Fully weather resistant enclosure. One single cable needed to power and control each light. Daisy chainable with our waterproof cabling. A 5 channel DMX light with 2 strobe channels. You asked for it...you got it!As usual, all our lights are available as a Do-It-Yourself Kit or as a fully assembled and tested kit. The lights can be found right here:http://seasonalentertainmentllc.com/rainbowfloodx.htmPlease note that with each device string you will need one Power & DMX Blender. The Blender combines the power lines and DMX lines into one cable. You can then use our waterproof cabling, available in 3 different sizes, to connect the lights together. Also note that these lights will begin shipping on 10/15/11.http://seasonalentertainmentllc.com/store/product.php?id_product=78To make this introduction even better, we are offering these lights at the lowest possible prices we can! Every version of the Rainbow Flood – EXTREME is on sale from now until 10/17 at 8pm. To sweeten the deal, we also are running our FINAL sale of 2011! All our DIY products are now on sale and will remain on sale until 10/17 at 8pm.Final documentation on the new light will be posted tomorrow but the assembly manual is already available.Don’t miss out on some great prices and the new RGB Floodlight everyone will be talking about this season!http://www.SeasonalEntertainmentLLC.comGreg

Ponddude
Just wanted to let everyone know that all the manuals have been posted. The assembly and user manuals as well as the data sheet for the RFX can be found here:http://seasonalentertainmentllc.com/downloads.htmI am waiting on a graphic to show the hook up within and LOR or DIY network, which I hope to have tomorrow. When I get that I will post that as wel. Also, I had about 15 emails about the current the light draws. Dumb me forgot to mention it on the site and in newsletter, but the RFX draws 1.10 amps per light when on at 100% (this does not include when the light is doing it's strobe thing )
dschultz56
Looks like a great product.FYI - the link for the user manual foro the RFX goes to the assembly manual, too.
jstein
I know I am probably just not reading all the way through, but for the extreme what is all needed? I know the blender is needed but anything besides that? Thank you!

Ponddude
Actually, the RFX uses 5 DMX channels. 3 for the colors (red, green and blue) and 2 strobe channels. As someone else said in another post, I think the cat is out of the bag enough to know that LOR is supporting DMX natively, which means you will not need the iDMX anymore...if you are using your computer to control your show. So, you can purchase a cheap Enttec dongle off of eBay and now control any DMX product...including ours...with the software natively!! Nice work LOR!!So, as Danny said, you will need a 12 volt transformer as well as the cabling to connect the lights. No external controller is need AT ALL to control these light. Everything is built right on board!I am very sorry for the delay but things have been very busy here. I finally have posted all the documentation (and fixed the wrong links) on the site. This document just got posted (can be found on our Downloads page) and shows how the lights are connected inside an LOR network. It really is any network now that LOR natively supports DMX. http://seasonalentertainmentllc.com/pdf/RFX%20Setup.pdf

Might want to update that.http://seasonalentertainmentllc.com/rainbowfloodx.htmEach light requires 4 DMX channels. A red channel, green channel, blue channel and a strobe channel. Building strobe settings allow you to create intense multicolored light displays!Might want to update that. It is listed correctly in the store. fxdwg
quick question, if i wanted 2 or 3 of these to control independently, would i need to purchase three separate blenders? thanks.
Ponddude
No, one Blender will power and control up to the 32 devices that that DMX protocols are limited too. As long as each device has its own ID than each light will do something different.

(pictures in the store aren't lit up). Comparing to your floods and RWR would be cool too.I too would like to see action packed pictures when possible.
