Controller Daisy Chain Help

I have 5 CTB16PC controllers. Last year I had two. I have daisy chained them together. The first and the second one work fine, but I can't get the third one to turn on the lights. The LED light is on solid, and when I isolate to that one controller and run the hardware utility everything works fine. I can even turn the lights on with the utility. I have also confirmed the controller is set to "3". I have changed out the Ethernet cord and updated the firmware. Controller 4 and 5 are not working (probably because nothing is getting past controller 3).

It is almost like I am setting something wrong in my sequence editor but I can't figure out what.

Ok, a few questions to confirm what you are saying. Ok, first you say that you isolated controller #3. And the HWU works just fine. Ok, have you in this configuration (#3 isolated) tried to run the sequence? If by isolated you mean that a cat 5 cable is running to only this one controller, no other controller is on the comm line. Does it light up the lights as programmed? Is controllers 4 and 5 new too? Why does this problem sound familiar to me?

What version of the software do you have? If you have "basic", then you will only be able to control two controllers, numbered "1" and "2".

Alan.

Check your e-mail for a revised reg number, don't forget to check your spam folder it could have gotten sent there. Also it is now 5:15pm MDT (UTAH) so the office might be closed till morning.

BTW if you want to test the controller just reset the number in the HWU to unit 1 or 2 for testing then return the number to its original number when done.

Also you will need the standard edition to run 5 controllers thru 8 controllers

Wonder if you just tried to retrieve your license if it will already have the upgraded license tied to your email address:

I just assumed it is all the same software, but different licenses unlock different features.

The demo, all the way through advanced are the same program file. Just different license features enabled. I don't think your key even changes, just the answer LOR returns when asked what the key is good for.

I'm not in front of the software, but try help, about, and I think there is a license link. Off it, you can have it verify your license, which will cause it to pull your new permissions from LOR. I believe the window title will update right away, but you may have to exit, and restart LOR for all feature upgrades to work.
