Paul C
Is it possible to control two com ports, at the same time with one show? I happen to have two SC485-RJ45 Serial Adapters and would like to use both at the same time, in lieu of daisy chaining. Thanks
Jim Saul
I cant speak with 100% authority but it should not be a problem.
PaulXmas
Yes they have to be on different networks.I might be running 2 networks this year because of the number of channels I now have so I will be using 2 of USB adapters.
Santas Helper
I don't think it's possible. Each port has it's own identity and LOR can only use one port, the port you choose for your show.
-klb-
I think it should be just like using multiple networks with multiple USB-485 adapters. Set up regular and Aux A networks, and in channel properties you have to define which network each channel is on.Multiple USB adapters for multiple networks are identified by com port name, so it should work the same when they are real com ports. Paul C
I can now see that there is a network setting on the channel property's window, never really noticed it before, but the selection in grayed out.
Denny
I have used three networks before using two serial port adapters and one USB port. No problems if you set up multiple networks.
DownTown
What version of the software are you using? It's possible that the lower versions are not network enabled.D.T.

rwertz
In the sequence editor go to menu Edit / Preferences / Network Preferences.I'm not sure if there is a way to set this up within the hardware utility. If there is, I couldn't find it.
Denny
Paul C wrote: I'm on 2.8.10Danny , how did you set up for different channels.Thanks.I am not at a computer with LOR installed at the moment, so I am going by memory. You can make the selection in the same area where you setup your channels, that is, the color of the button, assign the controller number and channel. There is another block in there for Network. Just pick the network you want to use.
