RayKob
Ok so i put together the kit and had some minor problems that i was abel to fix. Tested all the channels (full on) and only Channel #5 is not working. Did some visual checks and made some measurements with power off with a multimeter and found nothing. Is there a schematic or something which tells you what voltages you should see at certain points? Guest guest
Short answer is no, as far as a schematic with operating voltages. If you have one channel inop, two things to check for right off the bat are the usual soldering issues (bad solder joints, solder shorts, etc), and the opto being inserted the wrong way on the board. Even if the solder work looks fine, reheat the opto, resistor, and triac connections. Also make sure all your pins on the resistor network and chip (U4) are soldered. You can compare voltages with multimeter when the unit is on...one channel versus the other.Typically, this kind of issue is a construction error, not a part failure. RayKob
Thanks Don,Found a bent pin on one of the resistor pack that supported channel 5. Now working fine.
