dkoehler42 Posted October 3, 2011 Share Posted October 3, 2011 This is a question that's been bugging me since I got into this. I have two sets of plugs I use each year for two boxes. So far it's fine, but there's something in the manual about plugging each LOR box into two separate circuits to utilize all 18 channels per box. ainsworth Posted October 3, 2011 Share Posted October 3, 2011 That is limited by the size of your circuit breaker and what else is on that circuit.For example; If your breaker is 15 amp and you have nothing else plugged into that circuit you could run 45 strings of 100 bulb incandescent minis.If however the circuit has 4-100 watt lights running on it you could only run 34 strings.Figure out the load that is "normally" on that circuit and using the formula watts=amps*volts to calculate how many amps you are normally using. Subtract that from the size of your breaker(s) and you now know how many amps you have available to run LOR. 100 bulb mini incandescent draw about .3 amps each. Rule of thumb is to use only about 80% of the amps available.I'm sure you meant that you want to utilize all 16 channels per box. The limit there is 8 amps per LOR output circuit, a total of 15 amps per side (1-8 and 9-16) and a total per box of 30 amps. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
